Morris out on loan till January

NORWICH City striker Carlton Morris has joined League Two outfit Oxford United on a youth loan.

The Academy product, who was a second half substitute in the first team's 5-1 friendly win over OGC Nice last week, will stay at the Kassam Stadium until January 1.

Morris, 18, signed a two-and-a-half year professional contract with the Canaries last December.

Good chance for him to prove himself. He wasn't really going to get a chance here early, so this is great for both parties.

Only saw the youth in the cup run, and can't understand what all the hype is about him, i know one of then youth players father and he told me that the whole youth squad believe he's got a great future ahead of him.  So, will definitely be keeping an eye out.  I'm not saying he isn't any good, i just lack the ability to see his potential - i've always favoured wide/midfield players as that's my preferred position, and thus find it easier to spot potential in those areas.

I just wonder if he's facing a Heskey-like career where he brings others in to the game, and thus will be loved everywhere he plays, but not always the name on the scoreboard.

One good thing about being in the championship is that i'll be more pro-active in watching lower league football again, being premiership i became incredibly blinkered to anything outside of that league.

They are very impressed with Morris. They said he's a big, strong lad who will do well for them. They said they only wish they had better players to support him. They must rate him if they are saying that.

In really hope it works out for the lad. Will keep asking them how he's doing.
