Cracking draw for us that, another chance to give the youth a run out, and lots of Prem vs Prem matches should thin the herd of good teams a bit.

Wanted a northern team away or a home draw but happy with shrews. We should have enough in the locker to deal with them... Should...

Think I'll go for this one, not too far away from me.

A great draw for me as it is a ground that I've never been to.  Will be interesting to see if NA persists with a similar type of team selection as against Crawley.

I'm hoping he puts proper centre miss on the pitch against these lot. Hopefully we'll have this Ofoe by then and Howson back. I guess McGrandles might get a game too

O'Neil was supposed to play but he got injured so I imagine he'll get a start in this game along with Grandles. Will be another good run out for Josh and Jacob and hopefully Howson if he's almost back.

Mr Sunshine Paul!

Unfortunately I agree with you. The cup that really is our only "history" gets treated as a reserves run out. Sad really. I'd like to try and win everything we enter.

Its a long old season in the Championship. I think when we were in the Prem we should have been going for cup runs with our first team playing every round. I know the Prem is the place to be, but to add a bit of excitement with a cup win would make it really special, not just surviving week in week out.

After our 1 season in the Championship this year (hopefully) the squad will be used to a busy fixture list, so think next year should be our cup year. If clubs like Hull, Wigan, Pompey etc can reach finals of the FA Cup, there is no reason we can't. The League cup should be a walk in the park :p

To be honest, this season with the cup it wouldn't bother me if we went out in the first round. Particularly the League Cup where the games are in mid-week. When we were in the Prem I would've liked to have seen a cup run, but in this league, when we've got 46 games in total, and plenty of those are in mid-week anyway, I don't think that we need any more games on top of that.

That said though it will be nice to see some of the lads that wouldn't normally get a chance have a run-out. Especially some of the youth players, and certainly if we get to the latter stages of the cup I won't be complaining.

I think you give the fringe players a run out until you get to a certain stage. So if we can somehow get to the quarters, it's then I'd start to play a stronger squad. If we get within touching distance of a trophy, you absolutely have to try and win it in my mind. Saying that, if we get knocked out at Shrewsbury, really wouldn't care at all, league should be the focus at this stage.
