I don't condone what he is alleged to have done and would buy his train tickets to Bournemouth but why, when the manager says he has a role to play, was he only going to be sub behind RVW?

Whilst I really want to believe this isn't true, the fact that there is no striker on the bench suggests to me that he was supposed to be on the bench.

IF it is true then let him rot in the reserves, we don't need the money so screw him. Either way we certainly should not sell him to a rival, the Championship or abroad for Grabbs.

cannot say I am happy at the way he is forcing a move, what do you do leave him out of the 25 man squad and then loan him out to a L1  club ..or give the spoilt brat what he wants

Bournemouth apparently put in a 3rd bid earlier today of £5.2m with an extra million if they stay up.

I'd take that tbh. Probably more than he's worth. Hope we use the money to get Charlie Austin.

RvW could've forced through a move when it was clear he'd be 3rd or 4th choice. Our much heralded record signing Dutch international striker was seemingly happy to keep his head down and try and make a go of things, while a journeyman we picked up from a minor Championship team (at the time) has gone AWOL after appearing in 2/3 Premiership games so far. Pathetic.

There was the heavily rumoured return to Sporting. I imagine he's still held in fairly high regard in Portugal and Holland.

RvW has handled his fall from 'grace' in a professional manner while Grabban comes out of the situation looking like a fractious moron. Two situations don't have to absolutely identical for parallels to be drawn.

But the problem is that RVW hasn't been denied a move he really wants to a team that are really trying to get him. So we haven't seen how he might react.

And as for the situation he's in now it depends how you want to spin it.:

RVW is a nice guy, a good character, gets his head down and doesn't cause trouble.

Or...

RVW is happy just to sit here on his massive, massive wages doing a bit of training in the mornings and playing every few weeks in the League Cup. Showing no ambition or desire to kick start his career elsewhere for potentially less money.

It probably sticks in the throat more because Bournemouth are, by practically every measure of the word, a smaller club than Norwich. I don't think many would begrudge him a move to a bigger side, but I really think the way he's gone about trying to force our hand is hugely disrespectful to the club, its players, its coaches and its fans.
