Congratulations to President Michael D Higgins for making it a truly memorable Holocaust Remembrance Day in Ireland by hijacking it for a lecture about Gaza and having a Jewish woman forcibly dragged out for objecting peacefully.

Unfortunately normal people will bear the brunt of people’s anger towards Israeli policy. There’s a time and a place for criticism of Israel, but linking it into a memorial for the Holocaust is just crass
