I'm not sure him playing really means anything. As said, he played against Braintree last season before getting his loan to France. He was obviously on the brink of joining Sporting a couple weeks ago, so AN has no real desires to keep him. Hope he sticks around long enough to see him play one of the home friendlies though.

from what I've heard sounds like Toffolo has made a good start to pre-season, keep this up and I wouldn't be surprised to see him start against Palace in a few weeks time

I'm starting to think it's not worth signing a left back purely to cover until olsson recovers. Toffolo looks like he can do a job. And even if it turns out he can't, Brady is more than capable of playing LB

not to mention we also have Whittaker that can fill in there if needed as we have Martin/Benno that can play right back, I really see no need for us to sign a left back right now

I believe Neil said that it was a priority the other night. Although that could certainly have meant Brady. 

Brady appears to have rejected a new Hull contract and gotten mysteriously ill on the day of their friendly, just in case you missed that.
