Cardiff Dossier on Malky MacKay to the FA

Instinctively, I am immediately suspicious to how well those claims will hold up given the timing. They have had plenty of time to submit something up until now, yet they do it on the eve of him getting a new job. It's been eight months since he was sacked. It seems to me the timing has been driven by spite to ensure it upsets Malky's career even if it doesn't stick.

Remember that Malky accepted no compensation from Cardiff after his sacking and issued an unreserved apology to Vincent Tan. He would not have done this unless Tan had something on him. At least two former players of Mackay's have also moved to condemn him on Twitter. Looks pretty damning to me.

Personally, I'm going to reserve judgement until the allegations have been examined properly. The simple fact of the way it has been timed shouts vendetta and that means it should be examined very carefully.

It will stick. Do you really think the Mail would have printed so much detail if they couldn't back it up?

Just read this on the Daily Mail, pretty silly and glad we didn't go there.

It makes you wonder about the length of time he was connected with us and why it didn't go ahead. I heard a freind an ex-teammate of his on TalkSHITE saying that it was a done deal. I wonder if he was offered it and then something came to the club's attention.

Knowing David McNally he would have found out about this. He's pretty thorough.

Having read some of those alleged tex's (too vile to repeat here) I'd say he's finished in football if they are true.

Some of the text messages outlined by the Daily Fail here. Pretty damning stuff if true. Would certainly change my opinion of somone I always imagined to be a decent bloke:

This from Mick Dennis on Facebook:

" It's nailed on. Once Malky started court proceedings, Cardiff solicitors had 'right of disclosure' and went through emails and texts. Within days, Malky withdrew his £7m claim for wrongful dismissal and issued Punic apology to Tan and Cardiif."

I'm shocked that a City legend has spoke like this, truely shocked.

MacKay always was a bit hotheaded, but this is more than that. Well missed, IMO.

If the messages are legit then he has pretty much shat on everything the FA are trying to stamp out of the sport. Expecting a really over top punishment.

So basically......if he hadn't of sued Cardiff for wrongful dismissal....these texts and messages wouldn't have come out?

More than that, we probably would have had him as manager and our supporters hopefully heralding him as hero at the end of the season, been none the wiser and everyone perfectly happy.

..Other than his house slave of course! ;)

If he had become our boss, and McNally rightly being hot on 'zero tolerance' would he have been sacked?
