When we signed the both of them, the natural assumption is that having a countryman in a foreign country, whilst trying to settle into a new club would be beneficial. They are more likely to be friends based on cultural similarities and likely to have a few things in common. But is this assumption correct? Just because they are both Dutch, does it follow that they are probably best mates?
Just wondering what with RvW having moved on, whether this has any bearing on whether Fer is less likely to stay with us or not. Bassong's closeness to Hughton has obviously impacted on his career here. Is Fer happy, sad or indifferent that his ?mate has now left?
Anyone know whether Fer and RvW were close, or whether they were little more than compatriots and team mates? Does anyone know who Fer is closest to in the squad?
