Seems a decent signing to me. We needed a new CB. Thoughts?

Sorry about that. I didn't check the rumours section because I thought it was only for rumours rather than confirmed signings. Guess the mods can delete this thread, if they like.

If this thread does remain, I'm quite happy with that signing. Will do a good job in the Champ and only on a year deal.

Technically no longer a rumour!

Think it deserves it's own thread here so we can talk about him as a Norwich player, no harm done. Thanks for the info.

Pretty pleased with this, versatile and a good pedigree. Other fans seem to have rated him and exactly what we need to bolster the defence.

Good signing.

If he played alongside Turner, I'd be worried about a lack of pace. There are some very pacy strikers in the Champ.

Must admit, i've never paid special attention to him - But that's usually a good thing if you're a CB! :)

Hopefully will be a good experienced signing to come in - Certainly more use than Bassong!

Welcome to the club!

He and Whittaker were both at Rangers at the same time for a year. Did they play many games together?

There will be even more threads on him when admin adds his "current player" thread  :p

Actually you are correct, I have no issue at all with you creating a new thread to say that transfer is confirmed in this main Norwich forum.

So will leave it be.

Good to know for the future.

He was dreadful against Wolves. I've never been convinced by him.
That's  the problem. One week he's a worldbeater, the next Bambi on ice. When he signed for us Rangers fans were warning us of exactly that but we dismissed it as sour grapes but experience is suggesting otherwise.

As for Cuellar, very happy to pick up a highly experienced back up CB without blowing too much money.

I agree. His experience will be especially useful for younger players like Ryan Bennett and also gives a solidity to the defence after the Bassong debacle.

Nice tweet from his fellow countryman

@Cuellar24 good luck at carrow road big man. Let's see if you can help to promote like I did ?. Wish you the best and enjoy the canaries ???

Have to admit to being less than enthusiastic about him in the past but hope that I have missed something.  Particularly recall his last game for Villa which was at Carrow Road in the last game of our first season up.  He did a big emotional farewell to the Villa fans but actually had an appalling game at full-back.  Mind you most of the Villa players were dire that day.

Not had a lot of competitive football in the last 12 months, so probably brought in as a squad player.

Not getting too upbeat about this one, but possibly still a good signing for the championship albeit that his days at the highest level look to be behind him.
