They're saying several weeks but 4-6 would be normal and then he has to get fit again so probably 6-8 as you say.

If we're playing 4-1-4-1 then we have a few options in that CM position. Tettey's been fairly solid in the past.

No, but they've all played a holding role at some time. Its not perfect but its hardly on a par with playing Whitts in midfield!

There will be a sharp intake of breath from the 25k Norwich fans every time Tettey takes a kick over the coming month or two if we don't reinforce. All of the midfielders we have are fine beside him but I wouldn't fancy many partnerships against anyone half decent [everybody]. I guess we'll just completely clog the midfield with 5 central players in the tougher games.

the question is how many times are we going to need to play both Tettey and Mulumbu together in the amount of time Mulumbu is out, looking at the fixtures I'd say probably just Southampton and Liverpool away, and as Liverpool isnt until Sept 20th he could even be back by then

Its a shame because he has looked a level above any of the other midfielders,  of which Tettey is the only genuine viable alternative for the holding role.  Fortunately we only have a game a week so fingers crossed tettey doesnt get clattered by jedinak early on.  O'Neil is the next best alternative then Thompson.  

For me dorrans, howson and voo are far more effective further up the pitch while BJs use of the ball & defensive indiscipline means he remains a risk in the middle and far better as a left midfield option.

Mulumbu has apparently undergone surgery for his broken metatarsal. 

I'd expect him to be out for around 8 weeks, taking us up to around the Leicester game. 

Not good news.
