Notts F odds on favourites to sign Grant and Burnley bid 5M for Henri. Would love Lansbury back here and we could be playing against Holt once more.

Wonder if Holt looks back on his settled life in Norfolk as not such a bad thing now?  Surprised Lansbury is reaching 5m, would love to see him back also, but not at that sort of money.

Lansbury was an excellent player for us, never forget his first game for us tearing Ipswich apart, that pass to Grant Holt was sublime!

Would be very happy to see him back here but £5 million does seem a bit steep, I'd also question whether we need him currently, all hangs on if we lose any more players.

We don't need any more players in Lansbury's position really, we're already oversubscribed with attack-minded midfielders. If we lose Fer then possibly, but I think we'd be better off strengthening other areas.

As for Holt, don't make me laugh! He was on his way out when we he left a year ago, people need to let go and remember him for the player he was three or four years ago.

Agree that there's not room here for Holt, he just can't cut it above League one now, no doubt he'll probably score against us now i've said that!

I just wonder if him making the move to be closer to his family has backfired in that he's had to live in three different locations within the space of a season however, whereas in the City they had a family home which they shared and the kids were schooled locally to his job.

£5m for Lansbury seems reasonable enough in a world where McCormack cost £11m.

Holt is yesterdays man and we need to move on from him.

Lansbury would be ok but that price does not feel vfm esp if we dont lose any more of our central midfielders,  and I would rather spend that sort of cash shoring up the right side of defence first.

It's a shame that Lambert didn't sign Lansbury when we came up, and he is a better player than some of the dross he has signed for Villa too.

Always rated Lansbury. Very good player. Has a bit of bite about him, don't think he's been injured too often either.
