Last year we Norwich said they wouldn't go over 9million for Kalidou Koulibaly and now this summer Everton put a bid for him at 42million.

To be fair, last season we wouldn't have gone over £9M for Ronaldo. Lessons learnt we hope.

The same happened with Benik Afobe. Yes I know he wasn't as good as koulibaly but he did help Bournemouth stay up.

On a positive note, we dodged a bullet when Toivonen rejected us after we'd had a £5m offer accepted. He was an absolute donkey for Sunderland and their fans hated him.

Wasn't Koulibaly the player we had agreed a fee/contract for but he didn't sign because they didn't sign a replacement in time. Thought that was what McNally implied anyway.

Yeah think we had a bid accepted for him. I thought it was more because he wanted to join a team who have European football.

Anyway, there's no way Everton are going to bid £42m for him. No defender's value goes up £30m in half a season.
