Nah.

If anyone is going to take second off Sheff U it will be Boro.

Will be delighted if I am proved wrong obviously!
We've got to play a few of those above us apparently, I've not checked personally

Here we go then, 11 games left, the current league position in brackets.

12/3 H Sunderland (11)
15/3 A Huddersfield (23)
18/3 A Stoke (16)
1/4 H Sheff U (2)
7/4 A Blackburn (4)
10/4 H Rotherham (18)
15/4 A Boro (3)
19/4 A QPR (20)
22/4 H Swansea (17)
29/5 A W Brom (9)
8/5 H Blackpool (22)

So we've got an opportunity!

If your pint glass is half empty, we lose against the teams above us and finish in 7th.

If you're optimistic, there's opportunity to beat the teams above us and romp home as runners up, missing the play offs completely!

What do we think?

So now I've read the phrase "if we make the playoffs" a few times since yesterday.
Football hey?
No team wins every game, I suppose a little consistency would be appreciated though.
A convincing win against Huddersfield and we're back on the wagon boys!
We should beat Huddersfield, shouldn't we?
:D

Yeah I saw someone saying that is the playoffs gone now. Weird.

Thirty points still to play for and we're two points off the playoffs!
You're gonna lose during the last ten games, might as well give the points to a team mid table rather than one above us.
I always prefer to lose to the bottom team rather than a direct competitor for the playoffs.
Haven't got long to wait til the next game though, Waggyna will have to get their brains in gear ready for Wednesday night.

So how would you feel if we missed out on the playoffs?
Not lost in the playoffs, actually didn't reach the playoffs?
It's a distinct possibility, some may say likelihood now after last weeks iffy results.
Anticlimax would be an understatement for many City fans.

I don't see promotion this season, so I would hope DW will have the funds to rebuild next season with a view to an all out assault on promotion, having shed as much dead wood as possible.

'Funds' appears to be the sticking point there OldRobert!
There seems to be just a couple of options for funding the summer transfer window

1) Borrow some money
2) Attanasio

1 - Would you borrow money and give it to Webber bearing in mind his current run of form in buying players?

2 - Attanasio is a possibility but it's gone very quiet on that front since the landmark meeting recently.
If you were Attanasio, would you hand over a suitcase full of dollars to Webber?

I don't know what's going to happen but it'll be a surprise to me if we get promoted this year.
