I have had several requests from prospective and new members for a link to our community guidelines. These can be found via the 'community rules' link at the bottom right of every page on this site, I will leave them pinned here for a couple of days. Any questions or suggestions welcome.
The NorwichTalk.com website is a moderated forum community for Norwich City fans which operates a simple set of rules which we expect users to abide by at all times. Moderators have the ability to issue warnings to those who disregard these rules, and the site admin has the ability to temporarily or permanently ban any user from the site – blocking an IP address when deemed necessary. Please note that there is the ability throughout the site for users to report posts, images, messages, avatars, etc. If you spot something which isn't compliant with our community guidelines, or you consider in any way inappropriate or offensive, please report it to us for review. We will act on breaches of our guidelines when we see them or are alerted to them. Moderators do not have the ability to permanently ban a user - this is at the sole discretion of the forum administrator. Our core community guidelines are as follows:
Abusive Behaviour
Bullying, threats, intimidation, harassment, discrimination or prejudice of any sort will not be tolerated on this forum and could result in a temporary or permanent forum ban. This also applies to communications made via the chat function and private messaging. More severe incidents, such as racism or homophobia, could result in your IP address being permanently blocked. We want to build and maintain a friendly and tolerant community where everybody feels welcome to post. If you have a complaint about a specific member then please use the report button or send a private message to the admin, or a relevant forum moderator.
Disruptive Behaviour
NorwichTalk.com reserves the right to suspend or cancel the service to any user who they believe to be a disruptive influence on the community or is in any way negatively affecting the site experience for other users. Examples of such behaviour are those typically associated with 'trolling' – and include unnecessarily bumping threads, frequently taking threads off topic, or creating numerous threads or posts which have the sole intention of provoking others into conflict.
Multiple Accounts
If we have reason to suspect that a user is using multiple accounts and multiple identities on NorwichTalk.com then we will not hesitate to remove all accounts and restrict your ability to create a new one. We understand that secondary accounts can sometimes be created accidentally, or as the result of unforeseen circumstances (such as the loss of access to an email address),but there is no excuse for a user to be actively using more than one user account.
Privacy
All members are expected to respect the privacy of other members by refraining from publicly sharing personal information which the other party may reasonably have expected to remain private. This includes replicating private correspondence such as communications which have taken place via the personal messaging and chat systems on NorwichTalk.com.
Inappropriate Language
NorwichTalk.com has an integrated bad word filter which is intended to ensure that the site remains as family friendly as possible. We understand that swearwords are used occasionally, but do not take kindly to members who frequently trip the filter, or those who attempt to get around the filter. We also do not tolerate adult talk or adult images (no nudity).
Signature Violation
Posters are permitted to create a forum signature, and to create and use their own Norwich related banners, but must not use it to promote another website or service (especially if it is not football related),must not link to any adult content, or use affiliate or paid referral links of any sort. We may allow links to users personal blogs, especially if football related, upon request. We reserve the right to remove a text or banner signature if we consider it to be impeding on the aesthetics or functionality of the site, or to breach our guidelines in any way.
Foreign Languages
This is an English language website and is not intended to support other languages. We welcome posters who may speak English as a second language, but we do not welcome posters who want to create threads and reply to topics in any language other than English. If it isn't English we can't moderate it, and if we can't moderate it then we will delete it and possibly block you.
No Spamming
Do not create a thread or a post with the sole intention of attempting to promote another website, service, or in an attempt to sell goods. The administrators and moderators of this forum will determine what constitutes spam and if we encounter it reserve the right to issue an account warning, or a temporary or permanent user ban. If you have something that you wish to share with our users then consider getting in touch with the forum administrator for advice and/or prior permission. Users can submit links to Norwich related blogs as an external site link in the blogs section (no permission required for that, we welcome submissions).
Chat Logs
Any user using the chat function does so on the understanding that chat logs are retained on the NorwichTalk.com servers for a period of at least 15 minutes.
Sharing Stream Links
Please do not publicly share links to illegal streams, if you wish to share them off-site, or via the private messaging system then that is your prerogative - but we cannot tolerate the sharing of these links on the forum, blog, or chat sections. We do not want repercussions from the actions of a user. Please remember that users bare responsibility for their own actions on this site.
Age Registriction (Chat)
We have no controls in place to restrict minors from registering with this website, but do ask users to confirm that they are 16 years of age or over before using the chat system. Any chat user found to be under the age of 16 will be banned from the website, as will any user who communicates with a user in public or private chat in the full knowledge that they are under the age of 16.
Copyright
Members should not share content for which they do not own the copyright. For example, all images and blog posts should be the uploaders own work or shared with the express permission of the original author. We also ask that members do not copy and paste articles from other sources onto our forums, please instead use the hyperlink function to link to external content for discussion. If you believe that your copyright has been infringed then please file a DMCA notice for the removal of the content to the following email address: norwichtalk@outlook.com. Members are entitled to remove their image galleries and blog posts at any time. Users lose the ability to edit their forum posts 30 minutes after posting.
Libelous Comments
Any poster who we deem to have made potentially libelous comments about/towards fellow posters, third parties, or ourselves, would be unlikely to enjoy a long tenure as a member of this website. Please remember that users remain ultimately responsible for any comments that they make on this site.
