Who next? Wilshere? Russ Martin?
Stuff of dreams.Rumours Leeds might punt Farke...
I’d have him back. I’m genuinely interested as to whether he could repeat his magic without a Buendia to unlock a packed defence. If Leeds bin Farke I’ll ride him down on a horse to Carrow Road myself!
I’ll be very happy with Cooper, though I doubt it will be him. More than likely it’ll be some up and coming 25 year old who’s won 5 matches in the Lithuanian 2nd division. When all the dust settles by the end of May it will probably be Gary O'Neil. Instead of JHT (or DF .. and so on) he will be referred to as GON. And within 12 months that's what will happen to him as BK pulls the trigger yet again
Not really feeling too much positivity about the talked about candidates yet. Martin seems a non-starter and Lijnders a wild card in the most recent betting stakes. Who else might come into the running? The usual 'ITK' fella on the Pinkun says it's Cooper 100% done and dusted but I don't have much faith in his need for attention. The only ITK person is Knapper and I doubt even he is 100% himself.
Should hear before the transfer window opens fully. Seemingly Knapper is pulling strings on that score too. Wright is a great signing and fingers crossed we can get Dobbin for the season.
I always look forward to the cricket season anyway. As a young boy I was asked (or rather 'told') to select a team to support by a lad on the street. I chose Sussex and have followed them for at least 50 years and this year they have a great mix of up and coming players and experienced players (the overseas recruitment slots are often interesting in themselves) and they may fare better than the pre season predictions. One or two could find their way into the England team I reckon in the next year or so.I’ll be very happy with Cooper, though I doubt it will be him. I’ll admit to feeling rather glad the season is finished, I was rather despondent by the end. I’ll watch the cricket over the summer and hopefully with a new manager and a few signings over the age of 18 my enthusiasm will return in August
I’ve always followed Essex, simply because Chelmsford was the closest one to me. I was hoping the hundred would have died by now, but now it’s been sold to the Indians no doubt it will end up destroying even more of the summer with the 4 day game pushed to the fringes (and One Day Cup all but forgotten about). We already had the Blast which is a great tournament for T20 so I’ve no idea why the 16.4 was needed, apart from an attempt to take power away from the counties.I always look forward to the cricket season anyway. Cooper does have the experience but somehow can't see him being a Norwich kind of appointment but you never know. As before, I will support whoever is chosen. I often think there is a degree of luck to appointments. And then it's who can get the chemistry right in creating a proper team ethic. You get a lot right if you can get that because the tactics and playing style emerges from the understanding and trust In a group. Lambert and Farke got just that in recent times. Of course it takes some kind of leadership qualities and personality to make that work.
Most of all though it will be about quality of player and recruitment. We may actually have some funds this time through expected sales and BK says it will be a busy summer.
I would imagine they are trying to get him or someone of similar stature.I'd definitely take Cooper.
Proper manager.
Don't get me wrong, the quirky unknown foreign manager think worked out well with Farke.I would imagine they are trying to get him or someone of similar stature.
And then if they can't reach that high they'll get someone less proven and tell us they fit our vision and so on.
