It would be nice but he hasn't really shown signs of nailing down a starting place. Who knows though, maybe a new manager can get more out of him.

In other news it is rumoured Trabzonspor are after Nunez.

While I'd have hoped and wanted more I guess it is realistic ish. When you consider Smith-Rowe has gone to Fulham for say £25-£27m plus add-ons how much more could we get for Sara?

ESR is slightly younger and has considerably more top level experience.

But this is now the big first proper test for the new regime. Best player out the door and bit of cash in... what ya gonna do about it?

The local journos were all touting a deal of 20m. I, perhaps wrongly, assumed that was the deal, but it turns out to be about 15m plus add ons, that COULD come to 20m plus.

Personally I think that is a bit cheap, and I also think he is better than the Turkish league.

Have to assume we put the feelers out and nobody else was looking like they were going to come in with an offer so we took what we could get. Similarly, Sara must have had to accept that Prem offer wasn't coming.

I felt really sure it would have too, he was ripe for a mid table Prem team.
