Have to assume the club will be actively trying to sell one or two (or more) of the better players to balance the books and fund the rebuild etc.

As for Sargent in particular, he scores goals at this level but he is possibly looking a bit injury prone. And if you are going to run with one main striker you probably want someone who stays fit.

The other thing about Sargent is that they might be thinking they need someone who fits with the team better - instead of someone who is quite reliant on Ashley Barnes (who is past it).

But then they might think that Barnes drops out the picture and they have a different plan for Sargent.

Interesting times.

The striker situation is an interesting one, if you factor in Idah and Abu Kamara. I'd like to see Barnes go, but I think he is on a decent contract so probably doesn't want to.

Webber's long overdue attempt at bringing in experience with Barnes and Duffy hasn't been a resounding success. Might have been better keeping a couple of our youngsters rather than loan them out.

No left backs and no left centrebacks.

Could this mean McLean as a left sided centreback in a 3??

Anything to get away from this nonsense of him being some kind of deep lying playmaker.

We'll be all right...
Hanley and Duffy ought really to be on that list of we're not being overly emotional about it.
Hanley will struggle to recover from the injury he had and Duffy just isn't.

Jacob will be CB alongside Hanley. How many games can we get out of those 2 sick notes?
Tomkinson and Warner hopefully will step up and Kenny better there than playmaking as stated above.
