Norwich City head coach Johannes Hoff Thorup gave updates to the squad's availability for this weekend's Sky Bet Championship tie against West Brom, confirming that Angus Gunn was available to play.
On the international break, Hoff Thorup said: "It was good in many ways, no injuries from players being away.
"It was time well spent here with the players still in the building.
"The players had some time off, there were some training sessions here, but we don't believe that one week off is good for them.
"They had a handful of days to relax and recover and have family time but we have to remember that we have a lot of players travelling with their respective teams, so they don't have too much time for recover."
During the break from fixtures, the head coach visited the US and the home of club owner Mark Attanassio, explaining the trip was part of a strategy group.
"It was a trip planned a couple of months ago to take the time to sit down together to talk about strategy and lots of other things.
"It was a good trip, I learned a little bit about baseball. Now I have five per cent understanding of a baseball game.
"It's better to sit together and talk about things, what we do for now, plans for the summer, long term plans.
"There was not much transfer discussion, all of us know it will be a busy summer but that was not the purpose of the trip, it was how we see things going on from a strategic perspective, a day-to-day perspective and where we can see improvement."
Discussing American international Josh Sargent's future with the club, he said: "Every player thinks about their future, that's natural in football.
"It's fair and I think at the end of the season he needs to consider the next step in his career- that next step could well be here.
"Now as we step into the last part of the season, we just need to finish in a good way.
"When I talk to players, it's purely about performance and making sure they perform. If Borja (Sainz) makes it to even 20 goals, there will be some great opportunities for him; he will not be cheap."
Hoff Thorup was full of praise when asked about Brad Hills and his loan with League One side Stockport.
"It's a perfect loan spell for us and for him.
"The top half of the table in League One is the perfect environment, that experience will get him into an even better position in the summer. I think he is ready to play in the Championship."
Updating the room on injuries around the squad, he said:
"(Angus) Gunn will be available on Saturday, (Lucien) Mahovo will not.
"We still need to see with him when he is ready for training, hopefully it is the start of next week or the end.
"Liam Gibbs is back in training.
"It's been really good to have him back in the group but Saturday is too early and ideally we give him some Under-21 minutes before a first team game, but he is looking good and he is with the group.
"(Matěj) Jurásek is back with the group, so he will be around the matchday squad Saturday.
"We cannot expect too much from him, we are going to build him up."
City host West Brom at Carrow Road on the weekend and will be hoping to close the gap on the Baggies in sixth place.
"They are a good team, their season target was to be around the play offs, which is where they are.
"They can dictate the game, they can rotate in positions and create problems for us with their runs in behind and crosses.
"We have to be aware on our defensive game.
"We will do everything to make sure that the fans have a good experience going away from the stadium.
"It's a good opponent we play, we have to do everything, we need the fans as well.
"I praised them after Bristol because their performance was fantastic and they were a big push and a big part of us nearly getting that second goal."
One final player Hoff Thorup was full of praise for was Oscar Schwartau.
"It's down to positions that change for us, where the wingers play more inverted and closer to the nine.
"Now we have to find the right position for him, so that is one of the reasons why he has been more out than in.
"He has still played far more minutes than I expected at the start of the season. We have to find the role that suits him best."
The Canaries sit eight points off the play-offs, so when asked about his feelings around the club being able to reach sixth place, Hoff Thorup said: "I have to believe, if I don't, I should not be here.
"There is nothing in the performances that shows me we cannot beat the teams around us.
"I am also a realist and the results we have had the last five games have not been good enough.
"My main focus has been to get us back on top."
