Suppose in hindsight this shows just how different we can be when we have a strong, positive striker in the squad. Looked utterly hopeless up front the last few matches and then we go and play a striker in Sargent and well..

To be fair, Cambs, neither Brighton, Sheffield Utd nor Leeds have what you would call a fragile defence, n'est-ce pas?

Super result. Must say, the lads were growing in confidence once the Sarg hit the back of the net, lots of smiling faces in the yella. Good to see Crmac get his goal, certainly he was smiling, instead of looking sad and lonely. I have to say that I enjoyed Dobbins performance. Great morale and confidence booster for all.
On the rom tele box after our game, it was great to watch the binners completely dominated by the slow walking Scoucers. The binners game plan, seemed to be, put every single man in the box, then a gret owd lump by. Ithought that dewlap had every defender afraid of him the keeper for someone to run after. I thought that dewlap was supposed to scare every defender he played against.
Must admit , I had a little smile when the binner fouled his man, only to injure himself.
a great aferrnoon, with a good bottle of Aussie Shiraz to keep me occupied

My Lord how we’ve missed Sarge! Just being able to mix it up and play more direct rather than fannying about with it playing thousands of sideways passes makes us much more of a threat, even before you take his goal scoring record into account!

Still can't believe the cheek of Swansea/Cardiff/Wrexham all to have tried joining a new Welsh cup so they could try and get into European competitions.. Play in the English league and yet want to be in a Welsh cup? Jog on
Im pretty sure that used to be the case in the past?

In response to Fen Canary: strangely, for the last two goals, where we went uber-direct, Josh was not even on the pitch.
But I get your point about the overall impact of him being back.
Incidentally, I think Ante Crnac is slowly turning into a Josh MkII.

Very true, although just having the threat of being able to dink one over the top means defenders are more wary of pushing stupidly high up the pitch, which in turn leaves more space for the midfielders. We just look so more balanced throughout the team with Sarge putting himself about up top
