Have procured a ticket for this for by usual migration to having a seat in the South stand, closely followed by the opinion of " Great view, bar facilities good, but just a bit too quiet for my liking".

Assume we'll see Kenny start to get some minutes, but also we are already a bit short in midfield. Wouldn't be surprised to see Josh rested. Dare I venture that we might see Jurasek?

I’ll wager we never see Jurasek on the pitch.
Hoping for another full strength side, thr team looks horribly disjointed at the minute so the more time they spend playing together the better.
Plus I think Southampton are there for the taking currently, could be a different story later in the season once they’ve settled

There is definitely a story behind Jurasek, much the same as with Tzolis. Sometimes players just don't work out.

keep seeing that our youngish players, Crnac, Jurasek, Shwartzau,Wright et al, are too young to expect them to perform well. Has anybody informed Arsenal and Liverpool in the premier league about young players?

Yep agree. My observations are:

Not used to seeing us with such a low possession percentage in these early games. So it rarely looks like we are really in control.

Added to the above we look very ineffective in the final third and the midfield isn't providing the ammunition

Linked to both the above points is the insistence of the shape and team set up, meaning midfield looks light.

Individual defensive errors in our games seem the norm.

Unsure now of our recruitment. Darling the best, Topic has potential. Felt McConville had an okay game (still he feels like a newish signing). Too many 5/10 or 6/10 performances overall (maybe generous).

Worried we have a relegation fight this season and really not confident about Blackburn.

But...it's still early days. Can it get too much worse? We look a bit shot of confidence and a new team like this needed to have had a more solid start.

A little outside perspective about what Mr Manning is all about.

He plays horseshoe football, slow deliberate keep ball. This will mess with your players heads but worse your supporters. It will take a half a season before it really takes hold and you will hate watching it, probably wanting to stab your eyes out on Saturdays. But if you stick with it you might get dicked in the play offs next season!

Cheers for that.
You are welcome!

Be very much assured it gets worse before you actually get a few results. That is when you realize football is not meant to be played that way. I’m not sure the board of your club really knew what they are getting. But thanks for taking him off my hands. Ohhh and watch how he spends your money he’s a bit borderline at that too! Good Luck!

He won’t play your youth players either under any circumstances. He will try and bring players in at huge cost and send any of your youngsters out anywhere he can.

I'm not looking forward to the season then if that's the case. I can't see the fans putting up with what we are seeing for very long.

There's some hope still this is a brand new team learning in real time how to become a team.

That was soul destroying. Canaries no longer, change the badge and name to TURKEYS. Return to sender, Jurasek, Krisgarden, Shwartau, Crnac, others too

I always find something a bit weird about fans of other teams mooching around rivals forums...

Useful to read perspectives and if it's like any of us posting our thoughts and sharing with football fans I can understand it. Just like we might do on X for example. That said, can't ever see a moment where I would post on another championship forum..."just let go of the past" tends to be my thinking. Same with players who you look out for and hope (mostly!) they do well.
I suppose karma can be enjoyable though at times :)

I could handle the defensive formation/tactics if it had actually made us look more solid at the back, but as of yet it doesn’t look any more secure than last season (the constant pi$$ing around with it doesn’t help in that regard). We’ve sacrificed our attack but haven’t improved the defence. I know it’s still early in the season but I don’t mind admitting any optimism has just about disappeared already

Yes. If you (supporters and players) can stick it eventually you can get results. Good players adapt and luckily he inherited good ones that came back from injury on mass and he has some good players at Norwich. But as I mentioned above it’s a completely unnatural way to play.

Keep the ball no matter what even at the expense of a chance to go forward.

As for mooching retirement will do that slightly and I don’t tweet etc. But it’s all out there. The supporters will become restless but if he gets a couple of results quickly at that time that dies down.

I don’t know how he was sold to Norwich supporters, but his previous employer sold him as a front foot dynamic style of head coach. I guess you are seeing it’s anything but.

How are the signings getting on we are trying to get rid of several of his. However Twine is right on it. To be fair the rumour was he was carrying a knock for most of the season.
