*Insert fireworks joke here*

Not great injury news, especially the sarge.

On fitness… "Gabe Forsyth suffered a knee injury and won't be available tomorrow. We will scan him tomorrow and hope it's not too serious. He can see now the opportunity is there, so it's disappointing for him."

On Sargent… "He is going to require surgery, so we're looking at eight weeks. It's not the ideal scenario for anybody. We have options and possibilities for other players to come in."

On the squad… "We hope to have Gunn and Marcelino back after the international break. We don't want to do anything too risky and we can hope to have Marcelino back not long after the break."

On Schwartau… "He is improving. We didn't expect that he would be playing so much, we thought he would develop and compete in the second season. He's doing well and so are a lot of the younger ones."

On Forson… "It's a little bit difficult for him at the moment. He obviously suffered an injury against Crystal Palace. A new culture, new environment, new style of football, it's been difficult for him."

On Chrisene… "There's no wildcards in a team like this. We have competition in every position on the pitch. Ben started well for us and maybe dropped in confidence. We need to make sure we can build it back up again."

On Hanley… "He's a big part of the group in terms of leadership. He's a great leader. It's fair to say, it's been tough for him to be out of the team. He's been here for so many years and done so well for the club. He's doing everything he can."

On Sheffield Wednesday… "It's going to be a big test for us. Cardiff was a big disappointment for us. We expect another tough one, we will have to defend well and to show what we're made of and to have good moments in the game."

Dreadful. The injuries are really knackering us.

Also, Georges I would rather see in goal than George Long.

George Bernard Shaw
George Clooney
Boy
George Michael
George W Bush

Wonderful game.I didn't mean that, just trying to find some enthusiasm. Think I've finally given up on Long, but I'm also thinking that Doyle is a big part of our defensive woes.Funny old ref again. Bed time, noapte buna people

Doyle is a centre back that thinks he's a full back, but he isn't, as has no pace.

We have Chrisene as a left back so if he is happy with Duffy and Cordoba why not try Doyle as a DM to stabilise midfield now we are without Nunez and McClean. JHT has a big task now and in a month's time we will know if he is up to the task. Big blow losing Josh but he was never going to be fit for whole season and why did we not bring in replacement?

Interesting idea re Doyle, but his lack of pace could be concerning. I think the manager will be relying on the fact that we have the top scorer in the division who isn't even a striker. But we desperately need someone to hold the ball up front in Josh' absence. Doyle up front? (I'm joking)
