An even muster must win than Tuesday. I was saying to friends if we don't come away with either 4 or preferably 6 points this week, then we're stuffed.

Man, I was in a shit mood after Tuesday, that draw felt like a 10 nil loss. But after Birmingham, there were signs of improvement, I think the change in formation definitely helped. You can still see the nerves throughout the team but we did create chances, take one or two of them and we're flying, we will look a completely different team.

Hopefully the manager knows a little more about the players now, and who he can trust to do a job (Not you Jurasek, you go and sit down lad) and more importantly who is up for the fight.

If we had fit wingers I'd be tempted to try Makama up front, Josh looks absolutely shot to shit just now. But we don't, so I expect a pretty similar team to Tuesday.

I though Matsson did quite well when he came on so he's the obvious replacement for Topic, I've got a QPR supporting mate which means I've got a bad feeling about this

Can we get to Christmas without winning a home game? It will take a bit of effort, but I am almost certain that we can do it!!

Our best game yet. And ...for a full 90 minutes. Great game by our midfield today (Pelle M especially) and Vlad barely had a save of note to make. The 4th wasn't offside either. Looked like the players were up for it and I noted lots of communication - and after the match the celebrations were genuine with each other.
There's got to be hope looking at this match as an indicator of future performance.

Just brilliant, such a massive improvement. Everybody looked up for it, they were eager and positive and looked nothing like a side fighting relegation. If we lost the ball, someone snapped straight in with a tackle, every single man played with desire. The transformation over the last three games has been nothing short of remarkable, after we drew on Tuesday I thought there was improvement, but it seemed that it could take 5 or 6 games to turn things around.

Whatever he has done with them in training, on yesterday's evidence it has certainly worked. I am 100% convinced we are getting out of this now.

After the game I went to the toilet in the Barclay and there was a bloke in there ranting about how we are all happy clappers, and we're still going down. I honestly don't know why some people bother going to football and just enjoy it when it is good.

Bellend.

That is typical though isn't it? There's a good 10% like that. They like to moan. On the other forum people enjoy complaining about the team even during a match. I never know fully whether they are really fans or are there to 'disrupt' and sow division. After all, these kind of folk do it online in politics etc.
I guess they are just unhappy in life and can't actually choose to look positively. Which is all a bit sad when you think about it.
Yesterday was a very good performance from start to finish. Everyone put the effort in. I think now they can believe they are actually a proper team. Massive challenge ahead but there's hope they might do this.

I think, for some people, it is about a desire to be right, over anything else. They love to slate a manager and say he will be sacked, because they will inevitably be proved correct. Some people have revelled in telling everyone that we are going down, and have suddenly realised they might be wrong, and they might not have their "I told you so" moment.

It is pathetic, and the main reason I was banned from the pinkun was telling people like this what I thought of them :p

The Keep the Faith Worthy years? Definitely, maybe other regimes too.
I recall those factions at the time.

I think it is a desire to be right. Personally I love being wrong! Because I get a jolt and amazement (because I tend to back my judgement generally and so it's a great thing to learn something when you're wrong....like an amazement. I enjoy that in life. Don't think that's weird but just the way I've learned things). Think the world would be a better place too if we all could admit we were wrong.

The whole Worthington thing was absolutely vicious, real nasty shit. Probably the worst it has been, and I'm not sure why. The end of Hughton's era was also really bad. I have seen people wishing we get beaten to try and force an issue, I just don't get their mentality. When we were struggling under Manning the outcome that I most wanted was for him to turn it around. I think it says something about a person's inner personality that they need to be this way. Problably just inherently miserable!
