Missed most of the presser as was flying, but didn't seem much in it?

A loss here will stamp out any lingering play offs optimism :D

I think we'll play a more open game. Plymouth have to win so we should be able to hit them on the counter. Home win ....

Knapper, Thorup and the whole coaching staff, should be feeling thoroughly ashamed with theirselves, of course they won't be

Let's form another Norwich club, club of the people, by the people, for the people! What do you reckon?

Really looking like Thorup is out of his depth and Knapper doesn't understand what is needed to get out of Championship. Too many signings for tomorrow not today.

The reality is, the model is about being a top Football University first. Thorup is bought in to develop players that can be sold on within 2/3 years for a profit. The reality is also that positions in the table are almost not as important ( from the viewpoint of creating a successful respected global Academy / Player Factory ) - and that is the reality of football from now on, for clubs like Norwich. At least they are well set up in that sense - but you can be sure Thorup and Knapper are not mugs either.

Honestly, it seems many football fans in general are still a bit in denial of the massive changes in football at top two division level say, in the last 10 /15 plus years. NCFC from Farke onward, has altered radically.

No clubs going up to the PL now, will stay up, or if they do, it is the exception. Other exceptions are, Bournemouth ( in the wealthiest, costa del south coast ) part of England and Brighton ( same ) with close catchment areas to London and likewise Brentford, all get big money backers.

Will most of their signings gain value though? Some will have to actually play first!
The way we have played recently means we will struggle to maintain our championship status under Thorup next season imo

If 50% do and say 25% go for big fees, that could be not bad business. Though that is just a total off the top of the head guesstimate. I guess Knapper and Neil Adams might know more about that - but FCs are notorious for holding some cards close to the chest !

Though, one of the major reasons probably, fans are quicker to boo and criticise or get a bit hot under the collar, is probably also the reality of how tough it is to compete and sustain competing these days, as well as the mode of the club is different, as is top football pulling faster and faster away - and of course the ridiculous amount of money involved now, or even how serious it is. One of the reasons non league attendances are through the roof these days.

Looking at the state of the bottom three, who you could wager all have more money than we do, I think it is safe to say that the fantasy of establishing in the Premier league has gone.

Agree. I've given up on that fantasy a few years ago. The PL actually bores me. I rarely watch a match, get bored with the top 6. The relegation battle is the only partial interest maybe.
To moan constantly (say on the Pinkun) started to bore me too. A waste of precious time.

The best antidote for me has been enjoying passages of play, certain moves, individual performances, styles of play and set up patterns and so on. The enjoyment of fellow supporters and banter. Just to enjoy something in each game. You come away then with 'something' and not pure frustration of not getting a result. A difficult balance it's been but maybe a life lesson it's been for me. To let things be as they are (and that includes politics for example) because you can't control it anyway and that includes calling for a manager's head. Yet, when a decision is made I might think "about time"! :)

I thought we were by far the better team against Plymouth by the way. It wasn't even close. And they got a spirited win but still it looks like they're going down.

Norwich had something like 400X more passes and three quarters of the possession and created nothing, leaked some goals easily. The forward players or creative midfield in a team like that must be going bananas

I've pretty much always accepted we'll never be more than a yo-yo club (at best). I always thought the criticism of Farke for not being able to cut it in the Prem was based on unrealistic expectations and naivety as to how "easy" it is to stay up.

I just think you take promotion everytime you can get it.

I'd rather lose away to Chelsea than away to Plymouth.

How about if there was a 'Championship East' and then a Premier East ( as well as North / South ) - Surely Norwich could even be in the top 5 of the PLE ?

As time goes on I see our time in the Prem with Lambert as more and more of a wasted opportunity. I feel that if we could have just stayed one more season then we may have cracked it. That was our chance.

Unless we go up and Attansio throws about 200 million in...
