Sounds like we have midfield woes, with Marcondes, Nunez and McLean set to miss out.

Better that I take a late supermarket run, that way I don't have to be optimistic, and my sipping stuff will not taste sour

All the hope that's grown in the last month seems to have evaporated. This team hasn't got much backbone it seems. Something that is built I believe after a group gells and gets a collective identity. So many new players have come in that I guess you can at least understand why we are perhaps mentally weak as a group. Thorup also new to the Championship. The supercomputer predicated 10th as a finishing position a few weeks ago. That seems about right give or take a place or two. And maybe matches most peoples' expectations pre season?
Lots of 'postmortems' I think will come - even before the end of the season! I feel like adding my thoughts now but will wait...only to say in summary a frustrating season of encouraging signs and yet the same old frailties!

It’s a young team so inconsistency is to be expected in a way. My worry is that in the summer we then lose Sarge, Sainz, Nunez etc, fill their spots with teenagers then are back to a “rebuilding” phase.

2-2 draw. With hull hoping to get out of the bottom 3. It's going to be a battle. 2 moments of quality from our players. At least one of their goals will come from a mistake after we've arsed about at the back.

I'm off to listen to the Beautiful South. Get me in the mood.

Plenty of new, expensive midfielders to pick but they are young and inexperienced. The club chose to go down that route rather than pick older players so just have to get on with it.

dreadful football so far, played at our usual snail's pace. I am beginning to give up on Thorup as I just don't see progress

Better tempo in the second half but lacking a killer instinct.

Shite. They were gagging to concede a goal from about 70 mins, and we looked like we were happy with a point.

Two game ban for Doyle after reaching ten yellows.

The belief in the project can only work if the players are still here when they have matured a little. Will that be facilitated or will we just become a player trading model and go round the circuit again and again?

Sounded dire. Glad I've saved £567 next year. Even though I'll probably end up spending as much as that watching them. At least If you're away for the whole weekend it doesn't matter so much if the game's shite

Hoffball, Gunn, Duffy, Doyle. What a boring combination. Surely they can't teach the trio that boring crap on the training ground. , stand on the ball, have a little look around, and keep the ball in their own box , pass and start again.
The coach has to take the credit, blame for this.
Where has Sainz gone?. Some really shite displays out there.
I was glad to take a few minutes out to stand on the balcony and watch the snow fall

Amazing that we're still 4 points from top six after this run of results. We'd be full of it, if we'd have got the points expected from the past 3 games.
It's that odd feeling of being in reach, yet so far away. I'm gonna keep hoping though, even though it's clear this is more of a longterm plan.
