Coventry's away form isn't actually the best, so you just never know here.

I assume we'll see our new left back in action. Am hoping for a better game from Makama, I thought he was a bit subdued last time out.

Not just a case of "Turn up and we will win." was it, Frank? (that's Lampard , and not Fenway, in case you were wondering!!)

We can't win away against Wrexham, beat a team 5 nil away and outplay the league leaders and go down. We are not just staying up but we can begin to look up now every week. What could we achieve.
Seriously impressed with them today, in every action they gave everything.

I would say it is more likley we end up in the play offs than we go down...

I still can't quite believe what Clement has done to this team. Coventry came out strong but we just lifted our game and held our own. So many good performances. Brilliant.

I dunno, where will it all end?

Clement has worked miracles and got at least 20% more out of every single player. His game management is absolutely perfect too, every time we brought subs on tonight it brought something to the game. Players look desperate to do well for him. I was concerned when Mattson went off, then when Wright came on, we looked no worse. It is obvious that every player is well drilled in exactly what his role is.

I was a little critical of Makama, as I thought he was quiet last game, and was same for the first half tonight, I wouldn't be surprised if it comes out that he is carrying something, but overall he made a very valid contribution without scoring.

Not sure what Clement has done with Slimane, but he looks a totally different player, and I am so pleased, in Ahmed, to see a player come in and make a positive contribution from day one, it got wearying when we signed someone then we wouldn't see him for 6 months.

I fear no one in this league, bring on the scum.

Just watched the extended highlights, and what a game Kellen Fisher had!

Also didn't realise the Coventry players kicked off at full time and cards were brandished, as big Phil stepped in to sort it out!

Bunch of bad losers. I get the winning mentality thing but not when in bad faith. I watched Lampard's interview after and he was utterly lacking in any grace. I suppose the team is in his image as ours is in PC's.....(and was before in Manning's). Coventry I thought were a very decent team, if not the best we've seen at home this season. They attacked constantly and always appeared dangerous. But, we actually beat them fair and square and a neutral observer might have thought it was a top of the table match. I'm still buzzing about that performance. As proud probably as I was when we beat Leeds at their place under Farke because it was a proper fighting performance. What a waste we had under Manning in retrospect. And yet, with the experience this very young team is getting, it can only be good for the coming months.

I think Frankie boy is realising that things are starting to slip away for him. Ah well, maybe we can do him a favour when we beat Boro on Saturday ;)

We could do well there. I wanted Hellberg as our manager when his name was mooted but wouldn't swap now for Clement. I wanted Hellberg because of his strategy and character, like him a lot. Yet, it would have been a risky recruitment I think. Luckily,. PC was around and his influence on the younger players especially is clear.

After Clement arrived and had a couple of better results I posted "He is not the Messiah, but he is much better than what has gone before." Now I am not so sure that I got that first bit right

Quite often we, rightly, gauge a manager on not just results, but on how he has improved individual players. I think with a few exceptions Phil has improved pretty much every player. In Slimane's case I don't even think that is him any more, and Phil has found a lookalike stunt double.

All too often, invariably after a managerial sacking it is obvious that the players are no better for him having been here.

Slimane:
JHT kinda saw it
LM couldn't see it
PC does see it...

...and knows what to do with it.
