First home game of the season and my first chance to try out the new Barclay safe standing!

I would like one, or hopefully both centre backs from last week replaced, though suspect Hanley will play, but him and Duffy were equally as bad as each other.

A few players may have stuck their head above the parapet from the cup game, Onel looked excellent as a striker and brought a lot of energy, I thought Forsyth and Hills did well, and I would like to see more of Forson.

Summer signings José Córdoba and Ben Chrisene are expected to be available for the visit of Blackburn Rovers on Saturday.

City's first home game of the 2024/25 Championship season sees Rovers arrive at Carrow Road on the back of a 4-2 win on the opening night.
Head coach Johannes Hoff Thorup has provided an update on the Norwich City squad ahead of the game.
"Christian Fassnacht and Jacob Sørensen will be out for a while, I think we're talking a handful of weeks. A foot injury for Lungi and Achilles for Fasi," he said.
"(José Córdoba and Ben Chrisene) are both in training, the plan is they'll be around the team for Saturday and we'll see how many minutes they will be able for.
"(Ashley Barnes) not in training yet. From what I hear, it's going a little better than expected but the plan remains the same. We want him ready for game minutes after the first international break."

Meh, work in progress I guess.

The late equaliser by Blackburn self inflicted, and it knocked the wind out of our sails.

We need another midfielder, and a settled, first choice defence.

Could do with a striker too now Idah has gone. Josh gets injuries and I very much doubt Barnes will play a full season once he gets back from his current injury.

With the fees for Sara and Idah plus Rowe likely out the door I think it would be a little disappointing if they don't get someone who can score a few goals.

I saw the manager say they are hopeful of getting a striker in before next weekend. There was a Turkish lad we nearly got through the door, but there was issue with his medical.

Actually having watched that highlights reel, I have changed my mind a bit, we actually created a fair bit, and could have been a few goals up in the first half.
