Refugee family that moved to Liverpool where he went to school.
Maybe best to keep comments to football at risk of being offensive?

Apparently Rowe is off this window if an acceptable bid is offered.
City looking at players to loan in the event of Rowe leaving, ie. Varane from France & Mikey boy from Celtic.

I don't mind being offensive. But many apologies if you feel offended.

I have worked a lot in the middle east. The point was mainly about scousers though ;)

Have I come to the right place for an argument?
Do you want half hour or the full hour?

I would rip their arm off for 5m for a player that is out of contract this summer.
On his day worth £5m. I think that's about what we paid for him. The only reason any club would pay a fee now is if he was in demand, which he isn't. Nobody would pay a penny now due to the contract situation.

Apparently he's a high earner at City so best gone, whenever or whatever. MCCallum and a fit Sorensen aren't bad alternatives, imo

I like Mcallum actually. Yeah I find it odd that anyone would pay that money for a player nearly out of contract too. But thems the rumours!

I'm one of those who is glad to see the back of Idah and that long-running saga.

The question now seems to be whether it's a loan or a sale.

I hope the latter, but if it's a loan there should be a small fee, or at least complete wages relief for City.

It has been a strangely protracted saga. I mean, we all love a yoof player happy ending, but it has become clear that he will never be a first choice here, so it boils down to if he is happy being third choice, which I doubt. I think he will go on to have a decent career, but not so sure that will involve being a striker at a top flight club. Celtic could actually be a good move for him, but he really needs to toughen up a bit, and start scoring more goals.

Somebody made a decision, a few years ago that he was ready for the first team (likely linked to us wanting to do things on the cheap) and he didn't need to go out on loan. That decision was wrong.
