Do we think there will be much business? Let's hope we can keep hold of Rowe and Sara. Any dead wood to get rid of to reduce wage bill?

I've read similar to what you've suggested, deadwood to be good hopefully.
Trouble is, deadwood is deadwood, and lots of our deadwood are on good wages and long contracts.
Looking for a CDM I reckon.
It's going to be interesting to see where we are come Feb 1st!

There's an interesting storyline playing out here during this transfer window.
Our Ben, new to the job, has said that they're gonna be looking for long-term opportunities rather than quick fix solutions, so we're to expect younger bodies coming in to the building, maybe not even suitable for the first team yet.
However, we're pretty crsp at the moment so it will be tempting for him to improve our team here & now.
We have a big squad & players need to be moved on, especially those on longer contracts and older ones especially.
Our manager is not suitable for the job so he'll have to move on sooner or later. So does Ben bring in players to suit Wagners ridiculous system or bring some in for the next guy or just wait til the summer when it appears change will be made?
From the q&a session following the agm, The Bank of America suggested that money could be available for Ben, will he use it or not?

Only time will tell....

Let's hope it is not true but we have been here too many times before. A dreadful decision if it is true and means that Knapper is just another useless waste of space.
Will the club never learn?

Let's sell the young player who has scored our goals, it'll be like planning for the future.
Be interesting to see what happens by Jan 31st now.
I have absolutely no doubt he will leave us.

The reality of being a self funding club, unfortunately...

True but he is our only saleable asset so I would keep him to try and get us into play offs and who knows after that( not with DW in charge though) and sell him when he is worth double or more.

Yes, the ideal situation is that he stays till the summer. but people do tend to spend silly money in January. Could be an interesting test of our new owner's resolve, and intentions.

As ever, with someone scoring goals (without a long standing track record of doing so) the club will be thinking well, what if the goals dry up?

Cash in while he's hot?

And if a decent bid was to come in January they'd likely have an idea whether something better was coming in the summer or not.

The problems of getting a DM. Thought he might be good for a couple of seasons.
Jacob didn't seem to pull up trees the other night either but hopefully still working back to full match fitness.

He's not ever had a run of games has he? He'll have been played in midfield and scored worldies then find himself in defence the next game or out injured for a few months.

It's difficult too at this time with regards to playing a DM.
Wagner's system doesn't have space for a DM or a number 10,
If Knapper buys a DM, something has to change, so does he get one now or in the summer when hopefully we'll have a proper manager?
