It looks like it's all kicking off with The American.
The unusual board meeting in a couple of weeks looks to be Attanasio buying enough shares to be the majority shareholder or even enough to become the complete owner.
Exciting times!

Anyone got any inside info or gossip on this?
At face value it looks huge.

Delia and Michael to retire and him to buy them out, I would guess?

I read that the shares being allotted would take him over the 30% ownership and he'd have to buy the whole club more or less.

This time next week we might have a new owner.
Delia has done a remarkable job considering the perils of the club prior to her arrival and the relatively small amount of money she had.
It's an interesting time, maybe we'll look back on Monday as a huge step in City's history.

I'm cautiously pessimistic about the whole thing, frankly.

People don't "invest" in football clubs for a bit of fun.
If what I'm reading is correct, it'll be a good business decision.
His company will buy out the loans we had on the back of next years parachute payments, obviously he's gonna get control of the club and interest on his loans.

Remember when Marcus Evans bought out Ipswich, and they were getting all giddy? That.

Tbf I don't know Attanasio very well but he's in a different world to Marcus Evans.
That's comparing apples and oranges.
Attanasio doesn't tend to pump in billions to buy success but his sports business is extremely stable and doing well.

What could it mean for us?
He has the financial clout to ensure Premier League stability for us, although he's unlikely to try to 'buy' the League or European success.
Not sure if I've explained that well, I'm not expecting Champions League football but IF tonight pans out as we assume, I'll expect to be mid level Premier League more often than not.

It could all be completely different, we'll find out tonight hopefully.

Still no real information coming out, but the bottom line is if Attanasio has the shares, he'll own over 30% and has to take over the club.

Seems like we'll have new set of joint owners, Marky boy, Delia and Mikey for the next couple of years til he buys them out.
Not sure how this new arrangement will affect transfer windows during that time, hard to see Attanasio pumping in millions if he's not receiving anything tangible back.
Attracting finance will be easier because that's his bag, plus he could loan money to the club I suppose.
Time will tell I guess.
