Delighted with that. He's been a rock to start the season and sure he'll have a great year if he stays healthy. Another good bit of business by the club.

Sky Sports News only just reported it just now. Wow, can't keep up with this forum can they!

Sheffield Wednesday rumoured to be close to taking him on a season long loan. They are also rumoured to be close to signing Hooper too

Would be good business for us to do these two loans;  interesting that neither were at the open training session & reputedly in Sheffield pending the moves.

What I have not seen though is any links to a new CB - which I think we need whether Turner stays or goes;   that is a bigger concern for me

I'd agree that we need another CB ZLF, but they have to be genuinely better than what we have to make it worthwhile and I think this is the sticking point.

Should Turner move, then that leaves us with R.Bennett and Wisdom to cover CB (maybe Gafaiti at a real push),and maybe AN might feel that this is enough at least until Jan, if we simply can't bring in the player we want?

Frankly, I'd be looking to strike a deal with Bournemouth for Grabban ASAP, then use the funds from this towards the CB and Striker we genuinely need to push on.

Good for all concerned - good player but age has caught up with him for the top level.   Can only wish him well.

Interesting no hooper mention;   keeping him until a last day deal or beyond done i suspect.

Good solid player who gave his best for us and as ZLF points out, has just slipped down the pecking order due to age and lack of mobility, I wish him the best for the future.

Had a great year or so for us.

Championship is his level now though.

I liked Turner but at this stage of his career he needs to be playing.

Sheffield Wednesday have a pretty interesting project going on right now. If Hooper is going I hope he joins them.
