Not seen anything since Adams said on Monday that he hoped he'd be ok to join in on Friday.

Really looking forward to seeing him tbh

If you look at the OP, that's what I shall be getting around to do for each player on this board.

I got the idea of a dedicated player thread from VillaTalk, where they do the same, in this forum nobody else can create topics - so each player has their own thread in here, until they leave the club (then the topic will be moved to former players, or a new subforum).

Good idea. Will player posts in the main forum be moved to their appropriate 'player section' or remain in the main discussion? Pros and cons to both, but if all RVW threads are moved to his section for example, you have to go looking, you're not just going to come across them like you would in general chat

No, I will leave them be in the main Norwich Talk forum.

Too much effort to merge threads, this forum is just an easy place for people to come and talk about a player if they so wish. It works on VillaTalk, and seems to be working on here already :)

Is perfectly valid to start a thread about a player on the Norwich Talk forum. So will leave it up to posters whether they wish to start a thread in there or contribute to a thread in here.

On the topic of merging threads, we did get lots of duplicate threads on pinkun. Think most people would be appreciative of multiple threads being merged - check out the three Gary O'Neil threads on Pinkun for a good example

I think this will work, but then sometimes (like tettey to Sunderland) this will create a separate thread.

So back on the topic of Laffery, not much enthusiasm from some fans when he signed but now he seems like a great signing. Could be the new Grant Holt.

I think hoping he'll be the new Grant Holt is a bridge too far, what he will be however is a powerful centre forward capable of offering a different threat if the passing game isn't working. Some see Adams signings of Lafferty and Grabban as Holt and Jackson all over again...which in a successful diamond they could be. We shall see

Solid game for NI against Hungary. Great assist and scored the winner - well fell over and it went in off him or someone next to him but they all count!

What position was he playing for N.I today?
Good question. I didn't see the game but I get the feeling he's not being played in his best position with us. I hope NA got to see the game and it gave him food for thought.

Nice assist, but some farcical Hungarian defending there.

Thought he looked very effective as a lone striker.  I guess the question mark will be about whether or not he is a natural goalscorer as it appears Grabban might well be.

Got to increase his confidence with that great display and that has got to be good for us

Strange, I looked up an old thread after the Wolves game where I said that Lafferty looked really promising. Three months later and he's a real disappointment to me. He was superb during the last NI game, but seems like a different player for Norwich. His temperament really worries me; seems like he could start a fight in a phone box. Nearly garrotted the Bolton player last week (to gasps of horror in the Jarrold),and came on today just in time to get another yellow card. Only a matter of time before he gets a red.

Was at this game..The Romanians did not Mr Lafferty. He was double or triple marked throughout the game, and took a lot of heavy punishment. He played a lone furrow up front, left, right and centre, without a single bit of support, until N.I. were losing..The team was set up as 4-3-3 but played as a very defensive unit. Lafferty was virtually the only man to cross into Romanian territory, vainly chasing hoofed long balls..Put in a tremendous shift, and I for one could see him doing the same with NCFC with support and someone behind him to forage
