I'm not so sure about JR, I'm not saying he's rubbish or anything but I have my doubts. I feel that he never fully recovered from the injury sustained the season before last - either physically or mentally. Thought his distribution was poor last season, often lumping it to Snoddy who subsequently lost it/fell over. Not sure if this was more to do with instructions from manager/ coach - if so hopefully this will improve now they've both gone.

He had a badun on Monday. I know it was only pre-season and it was all about minutes on the field etc but he was quite flappy/fumbly on the rare occasions that he was involved.

I realise that to criticise JR is tantamount to treason to some but we need him in top form for the campaign ahead and if he's struggling we need Adams to have the balls to drop him. Thoughts?

I thought he looked fine on Monday actually.

Drop him for who? Rudd?

That's the problem, when Ruddy was injured Bunn did a decent job. If Bunn is off, not sure that Rudd/Matthews will be pushing Ruddy for position.

Yeah, you're right, JR didn't have a mare or anything on Monday I'm just being neurotic.

For me on his day and on top form he's the best keeper in the Championship by an absolute mile, didn't have his best season last year but still should of gone to the world cup, but for Foster being Hodgson's boy despite quitting a few years ago, and Forster keeping plenty of clean sheets against the might of Inverness and Ross County, he surely would of gone

Agree with dj - the best keeper in this division by a long long way - and one of the best in the division above too.

I am happier that we kept JR than any other of our players (crossing fingers and looking at the calendar! 6 days to go!)

My mate reckons he's just had a fag with him. I know he doesn't need to run much, but Christ, don't give people a reason to give you stick. Professional athlete and all that.
