I wonder what happened to that rapper from the 90s called snow. Who had that song 'informer' and that was it. I had his album on tape. Apart from that song it was pretty dire.

Never been as cold up where we are. Just up the hill last night it was -12 and tonight is forecast to be -16 at worst. No binmen, no chance of getting out by car (iced up thoroughly).
Often you'll get a very cold day or two but it's been 5 days on the run. The snow is so hard that you can easily walk on the surface and you don't sink through (we had a good 8 to 10 inches).
Sunday should mark the end of it thank god.

Near Skipton (as a place people have heard of). But high up above sea level. In North Yorks it's been exceedingly cold. Made all the news tonight (but then weather does)...but a big focus on the sheep having to be rescued as many are buried in the drifts.
Norfolk can get very cold with the easterlies can't it? It's the height above sea level that's the thing where we are (there's such a thing as a snow line where in one place you'll get snow and a mile away there's none in a neighbouring village).

It's nippy here, but certainly not by your standards! They threaten snow on my weather app periodically but not seen any yet!

Still no snow in NR2 this year. Will we miss out again?

Mrs R was so cold I had to leave the radiators on all night.

Am quite happy to miss out, it is rare we get "proper" snow anyway, its always just a bit, then slush.

Just had a look at Gridwatch. 55% of electricity being generated by gas at the moment. Windmills won't keep us warm if the wind doesnt blow.

I read a thing on Twitter yesterday, very informed, that we are dangerously close to blackouts at the minute with this cold snap. Our whole energy system is very fragile due to this green transition nonsense.
