Back to normal business after the hysteria of the scum game, let's hope they can get themselves revved up for this, as I'm expecting a win. Statistically we are in decent form, dare we say we have turned a corner, and old Delia was right to keep the faith with Wagner?

Can't make this one unfortunately, am in Bintan, Indonesia!

I'm firmly in the camp that we should stick with Wagner until the end of the season and review in the week after the season has concluded.

The football isn't pretty, but then Webber has filled the squad with players who don't exactly have a track record of playing Tika-Taka like Duffy, Baath and Barnes. Can't argue that we're now grinding out results, its a poor league this season and creeping into the top 6 isn't beyond the realms of possibility.

I think some cling on to the belief that somebody could come in and do what Alex Neil did when Neil Adams had us in 8th, but I just can't see it personally, our squad was much better then. Better to just give Wagner the season, then give any new manager (if Knapper wants go down that route) a full pre-season with the squad.

Don't worry about being camp, it's 2023, we're all inclusive here.

Anyway, the Wagner situation, you're just wrong. Every day he stays in his job just compounds the error.

Josh Sargent back in training on Christmas day!

In fact everyone in training today, apart from Josh, which is good news.

Wagners system of play is seriously flawed, having Josh back won't make it right.

We really miss his running / pressing though and can only be a better team when he's fit and playing.

I like Barnes as a personality and he's useful to have around the place (an opinion I might not retain if I find out how much £££££ he's on),but lets be honest his legs have gone. Idah teasing us with glimpses that there's a quality player in there, and those glimpses becoming a bit more frequent, but when he's switched off he's dreadful.

It worked at the beginning of the season?
It's not a system which will propel the club to great heights, Wagner's created an unbalanced team with dubious tactics. We feared that before the season started, it's quite obvious.

He's a busy runner bless his heart.

I just think we should stick with Wagner until the end of the season, and then change (assuming he doesn't win a fluky promotion).

A new manager will come in, spend 5 months working with the players to adapt them to his own way of playing and then lose half of them in the summer when we inevitably have to trim the wage bill.

Giannoulis, McCallum, Gibson, Hwang, Placheta, Sorenson, Baath, Forshaw, and a couple of the young keepers are all out of contract. We've got options on a couple.

Then got a situation whereas in the summer Gunn and Rowe have got 1 year left on their deals with no option, so it will be extend or sell, and who knows if we can afford to meet their wage demands.

If we're talking a long term manager it might be best to get that pain out of the way then leave him with a blank canvas and a full pre season, rather than start to transition to a new system this season then see 9 or 10 players leave.

A decent home win .... 1 defeat in 8 games .... 2 points off the play-off places .... a thumping for Ipswich at Leeds .... Happy Christmas!

It still seems to me that a lot of fans remain unconvinced, and I'm not entirely sure why. Players returning from injury has coincided with our upturn in form, it is there for all to see.

We're not perfect, but pretty sure nobody ever said we were.

Dominant performance from the boys in yella. 2 goals,3 points and a clean sheet, what's not to like. 2 good goals, super run from Idah for second goal, impressed with McCullam. Hope the fans were happy

We're about to play some of the better teams, let's see where we are at the end of January regarding how we've done on the pitch & in the transfer market.
I remain unconvinced by Wagner and several of our players. As I've said about previous managers, although you don't have to be special to win a couple of Championship games, I can't see this manager & the bulk of our players anywhere near winning a game in the Premier League.
Bearing in mind that's our destination under the American, mid table Premier League.
So yes, I celebrate when we score & win a game but in my heart I know that things have to change considerably to move forward.
