Sunderland on a not particularly good run right now, so we may be exactly what they need!

The only way we get ourselves out of this is to start playing to the strengths of Idah, and start putting the ball in the net. We can talk all day about systems, or what we need, but goals win games. And as much as Idah is no prime Pukki, theres goals there if you use him right, and I don't think I have much faith in this wang fella.

I'd like to see changes here, lets stop being so predictable, and mix things up a bit.

What are Idah's strengths then?
Lots of crosses in the air or on the floor?
Intricate, eye of the needle passes from midfield?
What needs to happen for Adam to get it going?

Not my job to sort it out. I would like to think the manager has some ideas as to how to get the best out of him.

If the club, as a whole never thought he was going to be good enough, they they should have got shot of him long ago. I'm making the assumption that people who know more about it than you and I, see something in him.

News from the presser...

On goalkeepers... "Vicente will be back next week, this weekend we will covered by Caleb Ansen again. "I can't see that Gunn will be ready for Cardiff, we will see how everything progresses in the next ten days, two weeks."

On George Long... "He trained very well in the previous international break and afterwards, he really made big steps. "He is desperate for a clean sheet, like the rest of us."

On Grant Hanley... "Grant will play his first 45 minutes on Monday and will now take time in the international break for game time with the Under-21s and training sessions with us. "He will be in good shape for after the international break."

On recent results... "This is not the nicest period and we would like to change this. "I have to take the criticism, I have no problem with this. We are very self-critical and we speak to each other very honestly."

On recent results... "Do I doubt my players? No, no chance. "It is totally okay to receive criticism, we don't run away from that."

DW on issues at previous clubs: “Huddersfield we had seven games without a win in the Championship. This happens to every team in the league. You have to stick together and continue to do your work.”

DW on Webber/Adams: “No nothing has changed. We meet everyday to chat about us, the team, the club, the future. That’s day-to-day work.”

DW: “I have had no contact with Ben (Knapper) since the one time we met. I’m looking forward to this. He needs to recharge his batteries on holiday and spend time with his family.”

DW on handover period: “Let’s be honest. If we had a good period of results now, then people will say b*****y hell this club is managing the situation well. The owners have dealt with the sporting director element so well. There is a handover period till next year.”

DW: “Everything done behind the scenes is ultra professional. We just focus on what we do at Colney.”

On substitutions against Middlesbrough... "Adam was not as energetic in the game and the idea was that we needed new energy. "I thought the subs we brought on were energetic; Borja, Płacheta and Ui-Jo. This was something that had a positive impact in the last game."

On Sunderland... "They are a top side with very good individuals. "They are not the tallest side, so when it comes to defending set pieces, this is not a strong point of theirs. We'd like to challenge them for the play-offs."

"I'd like to see changes here, lets stop being so predictable, and mix things up a bit." How are we going to do that, when the earlier thread on the Middlesbrough game decried totally any idea of getting the ball forward quickly (if at all) "because we haven't the players to play that way"? People who suggested getting it forward quicker were ridiculed. The problem is that currently we haven't got the players who can play successfully in ANY system. Incompetence rules from top to bottom. You can throw as much money and so-called expertise at analytics as you will, but that does not win you games of football at any level.

Stop calling me "Shirley"! Webber is still in position. What do you think? I am not holding my breath.

Just been said on Twitter that he'll be in charge for Blackburn Rovers.

Could be his clapper moment...

He's probably benefitting from the Webber / Knapper handover farce.

I wouldn't have thought that would make anything THAT difficult, pretty sure Webber could just ring him up and discuss it. In fact I'd be surprised if he hasn't.
