Remember going to Hull in the70s, Hull playing a friendly v a top foreign team. Really enjoyable night, but what impressed me, I'm pretty sure that they had a railway station under the main stand for supporters

Fabio Carvalho from Liverpool. Too good for Championship and a real statement signing by progressive club, unlike our moribund one!

Blimey, hadn't seen that, yeah that is quite the signing! However, in my experience, when you parachute one great player into an average team, it doesn't instantly make the team better, or make the other players improve. More often than not it just frustrates the good player, and he drops to their level.

If he scores a hattie tonight, I'll be back to edit this :D

Hull's home form is far better than our away form, be interesting to see what abomination of a line up / and tactics Dave dreams up for tonight

There's just been leaked a photo from the dressing room of Wagners tactics board

Well fought lads. A win is a win, scratchy or not. 3 points better off.super goal from Rowe, he really dug in for that. Good game from Gunn, but I thought Sara was poor, however many times must he give the ball away before anyone dares to criticise him?Onel and Fassnacht, well done you two, Seems there was some determination in the team tonight. Well done all.
Nearly 0100 here in a very cold and snowy Romania, so I'll just finish off my sipping stuff, and bid you all good night. Noapte Buna

A good AWAY win. That's the sort of performance a match like that demands. Effort and aggression plus a few moments of magic. There is potential in the squad to do so much more but it baffles me why they are so sloppy in possession. Hull weren't much cop to be honest and although they dominated I think they deserved to lose.

Well, we won. But it wasn't particularly pretty. Which is fine, if it is necessary every now and again to grind out a result, but being a bit ugly seems to be the norm now. And again, if it is effective on a regular basis, that is okay, as a stop gap until we find some style again. But I really would prefer to see something a bit more pleasing to the eye.

But, positives. Gunn had a great game, and deserved a clean sheet, not much he could do for their goal. Defensively, we are a lot more solid, Duffy had a great game. And fair play to Hernandez for his assist for the second goal, that is the role he should be playing, he should not be anywhere near a starting 11.

I wish Rowe would calm down a bit while the transfer window is open, we did not look like creating anything until his moment of brilliance.

Yeah, it's grim performance relying on a player having a moment of brilliance to snatch a goal.
Not good at all regardless of the results, it's just not sustainable.
But heh, three points.

Yeah, it's like we won in spite of Wagner rather than because of Wagner. Sara needs to be higher up the pitch, I'd drop Barnes and play him behind Sarge

I agree, we're hanging on despite the manager. Just think what we could achieve with an actual proper football manager.

It was an away win but we seem to be riding our luck so much that there is a limit to how far we can go without getting hammered at some point.
Squad good enough for play offs but obviously not the PL. Need director of football to do something and move Wagner on.
