It's beginning to look like a re-run of last season .... in the top 6 or 7 but not looking good. That sort of form cost Smith his job. Is Wagner likely to get the chop?

Interesting, I have seen a few smatterings of Wagner being questioned. But I think losing both first choice strikers is still buying him a bit of good will. For now, anyway...

Some of Wagners tactics and decisions leave a bit to be desired.
Why he didn't put Forshaw on during the last 15 minutes to slow down Covs attacks, instead replacing the wingers with another two wingers is bizarre.
If teams work out our system he has to adapt it & move on.
Farke's biggest problem was persisting with a system which wasn't working all the time. Is it an ego thing? Putting all his eggs in one basket, then not being willing to adjust when it's not giving the results we need.

As I said before, this almost like a re-run of last season. With the way things are going we'll be in the bottom half by Xmas. Wagner seems unable to even contemplate a change of system. This obsession with 'playing out from the back' is ok if you have the players who can do it successfully. You only have to watch match highlights from the EFL to see teams give away stupid goals every week. Gibson and Duffy are defenders not midfielders. When Duffy gets the ball he seems lost at times. It was losing at home to Leeds that apparently did for Farke. Ironic that it's his Leeds team that we have to beat convincingly to show that we can get out of this mess

I didn't hear this personally but it fits what he's outlined at the start of the season.
"Executed our idea to give Coventry possession "
He's set up to press and catch opposition teams on the break.
It's not working.
