Derby game

That's THE derby, not DCFC.

Who's going and how are you getting there?

Last time I went by coach & it was a complete shambles, thinking of going by train this time. Any thoughts?

I'll be away and can't make it, but my kids are going on the coach.

Am hoping the fuzz have learned a few lessons from last time!

Absolutely useless last time. I was on a coach of mainly pensioners & families. When we arrived at Portman Rd a Police officer came on board, told us to behave ourselves and then made himself scarce as we had to fend off the baying mob enroute to the ground.

Mind you it was even worse after the game ...

I hope they sort it out this time, I saw a few youtube clips and it did look pretty lairy.

Last time I went the year we were relegated I drove from Essex and parked in Carpetright (as I worked for the HO at the time) after the game the police wouldn't let me go to my car and took us  to the station.

I was abusing this copper calling him everything then asked when we got to the station if we were gonna get a police escort back to my car as I wasnt getting on a train and he said no, so I told him to f**k off and spent an hour trying to get back to my car.

This time me and my son are going by train from Chelmsford.

Its almost embarrassing the hash they seem to make of this. I mean, I'm no expert, but there must be a right way to plan this, nothing changes from game to game, its a load of fans, arriving by car, club coach, or train. They need to get to the stadium and back and be kept away from the knuckle draggers as much as possible.

Its not rocket science!
